Adobe Acrobat Error 1402 or 1406

Hi,

Once again I noticed how small little bugs can make one miserable dealing with these programs. There is the error which comes up while installation of Adobe Acrobat:

"Error 1402: Could not open key [key name] ."
"Error 1406: Could not write value Folders to key [key name] ."

A very simple solution which worked effectively for me is as follows:

1. Download the Fix_1406ACL.exe which is in a zip format from http://kb.adobe.com/support/acrobat/ts/documents/329137/Fix_1406ACL.zip (imp: please close any install or uninstall window which may be already running)

2. Extract the Fix_1406ACL.exe and run it. (this program runs without any message or window)

3. Install or uninstall the Acrobat Reader now, it will most likely work without any error at all.

I referred to the adobe article located on http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=329137 for the relevant information. There are also some other ways which I didn't try so if the error exists you can give a try to the same.
